Drag car?????????????????????

Have a 1981 el camino. Starting a drag project with it. It has a small block 350 v8 and a 5 speed auto transmission. Should I hook up nitrous? Should I convert it to manual? Should I but on a super charger? Should I build a all aluminium engine?
