I failed my English Placement test.?

I am registering for El Camino College and my goal is to graduate and transfer in 2 years. Now they are placing me in English A. Which is a level below their college level; English 1A. But now I'm depressed, I need help finding if this course will affect my chances of transferring in 2 years. Can someone explain this to me, I would really appreciate it.
