Converting ls to ss engine?

i might be getting a chevy el camino and its not an ss. the problem being, i dont have $10,000 and i want an ss. so does anyone know any way to make a regular kind of el camino into an ss el camino? or at least faster than normal. i know about like exhaust and headers and im getting a new carb for it already
